I bumped into Darphin brand a few years ago. I bought a product from Andra Cosmetics, who as you already know is never wrong, and I was impressed. Then, of course, I forgot about this brand and passed to others. Until I recently saw an offer for a face cream on Strawberry, and I could not resist. It proved out to be what I already knew: Darphin is a brand that deserves every penny, even if the products are quite expensive.
About the Darphin brand
Darphin is a brand of skin care products sold in over 60 countries. The first serum was created in 1958 by Pierre Darphin, at his Institute in Paris, and the brand followed his vision to create innovative products by combining science and nature. I agree when they say that the more we use the products, the more we convince ourselves of their quality and usefulness. I have rediscovered these products, and I love hem.
The first product that I have tried was the Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood. I used it to cleanse my face in the morning and evening after removing the makeup. It is gentle, it effectively cleanses and smells insane. Some of the ingredients are Sage, Ylang Ylang, essential oils of rosewood and Marula oil.
Initially, I thought it was a gelatine, but in contact with water, it turns into a silky milk that leaves a shiny, smooth and clean skin. In general, I have issues with cleansing products as not all are good for my sensitive skin. Some products severely dry my skin, others leave a greasy film, and others cause breakouts. The cleansing balm from Darphin is one of the only products that cause no problems. I did not dare to throw away the jar, although it’s been a while since I’ve finished it. When I have opened it to take a picture, I have noticed that the insane smell is still there.
I purchased the All Skin Hydrating Cream Gel from Darphin on Strawberry site because it was on sale with an exceptional discount. It is a combination of hydration offered by a cream and the lightness of a gel that absorbs quickly. It has a hydrating complex of natural ingredients (lavender, kiwi extract) which helps normal/combination skin to return to normal hydration.
The light texture of the gel cream provides an immediate absorption and leaves no greasy film. It is the perfect cream to apply before makeup, especially when I’m in a hurry. It leaves behind a unique smell, a combination of „green” smell of kiwi and lavender. Luckily for me, although it also contains cucumber extract, you cannot sense it at all.
Above is the list of ingredients. Unfortunately, I do not have the box for the balm with rosewood extract.
I advise you to compare prices because they vary from a few pennies to a few tens, and it’s a shame to give extra money because we didn’t look well for them.
